Who it’s for: Newly engaged Christian couples — and the mothers who buy it for them.

Your church has a policy. Your pastor has a calendar. And you have vows to write.

Planning a Christian wedding is two projects at once. There’s the wedding — the dress, the dinner, the people you love in one room. And there’s the covenant — the counseling, the promises you’ll write yourself, the half hour you’ll stand in front of God and everyone and mean every word.

Most planners only help with the first one. Cord of Three holds both. It walks with you from the first call to your pastor all the way through the first year of your marriage.

Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican, non-denominational — every tradition does this a little differently. This planner is built to hold whatever your pastor tells you, and it says so on the page. Where something varies, it leaves you room to write.

Questions

Before you buy

Will this fit my church?

Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Anglican, non-denominational — every tradition does this differently, and the planner says so on the page. Where something varies it leaves you room to write what your pastor tells you.

I already have a wedding planner.

Then the dress, the dinner and the guest list are covered. What you almost certainly don’t have is the church paperwork, the counseling pages, the scripture selection and six pages that take your vows from blank to spoken. That’s the half this one does.

How does the vow writing actually work?

Structure first, then the ninety-second rule, then four drafting pages, then a clean final copy page sized to read from on the day. You’re never staring at a blank page.

Is it dated?

No. Start wherever you are and use it for any wedding date — the countdown works backwards from your day.

What’s the difference between this and Covenant?

Covenant is the Catholic edition — parish paperwork, dispensations, the Nuptial Mass. Cord of Three is built for Protestant and non-denominational churches, and it’s the one with the vow-writing pages.
