Who it’s for: Families who want Advent to feel like more than a countdown to shopping, and anyone who has five minutes a day, not fifty.

Advent is four Sundays long, and it is easy to miss the whole thing while getting ready for the day at the end of it.

This journal gives the season a shape. Every day has its feast, today’s Gospel with a button to the reading, one small thing to do together, and one line to write. On Sundays you light the wreath and pray a short prayer out loud.

Print it on ordinary paper, or open it on a tablet and tap through. If you start late, just turn to today.

What’s inside

Everything for the season, in one file

  • A tappable calendar for November 29 to December 25, 2026. Every date opens its page
  • 27 day pages: the day’s feast, today’s Gospel reference with a button to the USCCB reading, one small thing to do together, and a line to write
  • Four wreath Sundays (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love), each with a short prayer to pray out loud and a question for the table
  • The O Antiphons for December 17 to 23
  • The twelve days of Christmas, through the Epiphany
  • 27 cut-apart countdown cards for the kids

Format: one PDF, 36 pages, US letter (8.5 × 11 in). Prints in color or black and white, and works hyperlinked on a tablet. It is dated for Advent 2026, and no Scripture text is printed; each day links to the reading.

Questions

Before you buy

Still wondering something? Ask me directly — a real person reads every note.

Is this the free Advent Companion?

No. The Advent Companion is a free one-page overview of the four Sundays. The Journal is the day-by-day version: a page for every day from November 29 to Christmas, plus the wreath prayers and countdown cards.

Do I need to print it?

No. It works both ways. Print it on ordinary letter paper, or open it on a tablet, where every date on the calendar and every button taps through.

Is the Scripture printed in it?

No. Each day gives the Gospel reference and a button that opens that day’s reading on the USCCB website.

What if I start late?

Start on today. Nothing is behind, and every page stands on its own.

Can I use it next year?

It is dated for Advent 2026, November 29 to December 25, 2026, so the dates will not line up with another year.
